The Muppets

To be honest about this one, I had absolutely no intentions on going and seeing The Muppets. I’m not exactly sure why, but for some reason it just didn’t intrigue me. Like everyone else, I did love them when I was a kid, but I just wasn’t into it.¬†

Kermit & Crew Are Back!

The real turning point for me was hearing from a couple of friends that had seen the film. They each told me they loved it and that I HAD to see it. I finally relented and decided to go give it a shot.

Let me tell you – they were 100% right.

I have to admit that I was a little rusty on my Muppets history. It has been years since I had watched anything Muppets related. With that being said, it didn’t take long to remember everything that I loved about them when I was a kid.

Cameos, Cameos & More Cameos

The guest appearances from all of the big-name celebrities was something that was somewhat expected. The real surprise was the number of stars that kept popping up throughout the movie. We saw: Jack Black, Dave Grohl, Zach Galifianakis and John Krasinski to name a few.

The best cameo, hands down, belonged to Jim Parsons. Anyone that knows me knows that I am not a fan of The Big Bang Theory, but there is no denying how funny Parsons’ appearance was in The Muppets.

The Bottom Line

You would be foolish to miss out on The Muppets. Even though I wasn’t completely sold prior to walking into the theatre, my mind was completely changed. The Muppets is a film that anyone, whether they’re 5 or 80 years old, would enjoy. Jason Segel took the reins while writing The Muppets and really did an excellent job reviving this classic franchise.
